Bridge Insight : New Development in Long Span Arch Bridges
midas Civil is a Finite Element Analysis software that combines the powerful pre-and post-processing features with an extremely fast solver, which makes bridge modeling and analysis simple, quick, and effective.
The engineering software provides handy features for simpler bridges and flexibility to deal with complex geometry - combining all important features of bridge analysis software and bridge design software.
It includes various design codes that become very useful for engineers looking for optimized designs. Midas Civil will lighten your work and make bridge design more accessible through our bridge design software.
The current webinar covers the aspects of a three-span curved steel composite tub bridge design in Midas Civil. Greater emphasis will be put on the modeling using the wizard and the construction stage analysis as well as the main Eurocode checks required for the main girders.
1.Advanced and friendly GUI designed so a user feels full liberty and ease while performing bridge modeling
2.Intuitive Modeling through conventional method like creation of nodes and elements, or by using bridge-oriented features like numerous Bridge Wizards. Other efficient approaches are also available, such as CAD import, table format modeling, and code format modeling
3.Complete Analysis Options like Moving Load Analysis, Construction Stage Analysis, Eigen Value analysis, and Linear and Non-Linear Analysis. Also, Buckling Analysis, Cable Force Tuning, Rail Structure Interaction, and Settlement Analysis can be easily performed in the software
4.Powerful Post Processor with various forms of graphic outputs that can be also animated, like node shapes, time history, and static analysis results
5.Auto Design feature as midas Civil has inbuilt design code checking and load rating features. AASHTO LRFD & LRFR, CHBDC CSA, EUROCODE, and other codes are available. The automatic report generation features give the users an organized and detailed report that includes formulas and code references
6.Dynamic Report Generation feature generates a report using analysis and design results from midas Civil. Input and output data can be plotted in a diagram, graph, text, or table format. Data entered in the report can be modified and saved in MS Word format without any limitations
1.Quick introduction to Steel Composite Tub bridges and discussion in detail about the practical advantages and disadvantages with this bridge
2.Overview of the webinar
1.Preliminary definition of material and section properties. Key considerations sharing
2.Geometric modeling using the wizard built in midas Civil for Composite Steel Tub bridges
3. Definition of Boundary conditions, Construction Stage and Moving Loads in the wizard
1.Considerations about Construction Stage and Moving Load Analysis
2.Load combinations auto-generation according to Eurocodes
3.Interpretation of results
1.Design steps of composite steel tub girder
2.Description of some design checks performed in midas Civil according to the relevant Eurocode
3.Quick view of design results through excel report generation
